Creative Policy is a mechanism for supporting civic advocacy from the community, up. CP bridges the gap between the stories of our culture and local policymaking, by encouraging collaboration between community members and government organizations.
Through creative vision and strategic planning, community engagement, events, and facilitated activations, we will address community issues and reform practices that lead to inequity. The viability and sustainability of our communities are at the heart of why we do what we do.
Our desire is to provide tools and experiences to nurture the community and uphold the culture of Austin.

Who is Creative Policy? We are a Think Tank that has an understanding and lived experience in the creative, community, and advocacy realms.
Artists and cultural workers have crucial contributions to make in addressing political issues, redefining institutions, and adapting and shifting societal values. Creative Policy is a social, cultural, and political operation that holds both a regional and national space for conversations about strategies and designs that have an impact on culture-making and our communities.
As a think tank of community leaders, creators, educators, activists, artists, and systems changers CP and its partners utilize innovative arts-based community collaboration practices to ensure a diversity of voices are heard and cultural experiences recognized. CP’s art-based process provides opportunities for partnership development, community-based events, and professional development at all civic levels.
